As a certified trendsetter and creative contributor, can you give us a little insight into your career journey? Did you always know you wanted to work in the fashion realm?
I've always been drawn to storytelling through visuals, whether that was fashion, media, or digital content. My journey really started at the intersection of all three. I was part of the first wave of digital content creators (influencers) in South Africa, which allowed me to carve out my own lane early on.
From working in television as a presenter and producer, to building a digital platform and collaborating with global brands, it's been about evolving with the industry while staying rooted in creativity. Fashion was never just about clothing for me. It's always been about identity, culture, and how you present yourself to the world.
Looking back, what have been some highlights in your career?
There have been a few defining moments that stand out. Being on the 2025 GQ South Africa Magazine Cover was a major milestone, as it recognised not just my style but my contribution to the creative industry.
Working on Beyoncé's Black Is King was another pivotal moment. That was a global project that really highlighted the reach and impact of my work.
I've also had the opportunity to collaborate with brands across the board, which has allowed me to merge fashion with storytelling in a meaningful way. More than anything, I'm proud of building a career that exists across television, digital, and fashion without being confined to one space.
Can you tell us what trends should not be overlooked this autumn?
This season, I think structured outerwear, rich earth tones, and pieces that balance functionality with refinement.
Utility-inspired fashion continues to evolve, with cargo elements and accessories that are both practical and considered. Layering remains essential, a more refined approach overall.
